So what is Islam?

Islam is a religion, a way of life, built upon belief and obedience to the One,
Almighty God (in Arabic, Allah).

Like Judaism and Christianity, Islam is classified as an Abrahamic religion. It is
estimated that there are over 1.4 billion adherents worldwide, making Islam the
second largest religion in the world. Islam also happens to be the fastest
growing faith in recent times.

Who or what are Prophets?

Prophets are human beings God (Allah) chose to be teachers and role-models
to the people around them. They were entrusted with the responsibility of
delivering God’s message to the people and reminding them of the purpose
behind their creation.

Islam teaches us that the chain of Prophethood started all the way from Adam,
the first human being to be created and continued throughout time before ending
with the last Prophet, Mohammed, peace be upon him. Some of the more
prominent prophets mentioned in the Quran include Noah, Abraham, Moses and
Jesus peace be upon them all.
